Designed and fabricated a camera stabilizer based on a commercial device called a GlideCam. The hanging counterweight reduces camera shake, producing a smooth, gliding shot.

After the first version (shown below) was created the sheet metal based top assembly proved to be unstable. So a new design consisting of an aluminum U-channel, sliding block, and rubber grip was designed to create a more stable mounting assembly.
